Owner Bob Meanix Jr CR
Bob began working for a local builder at the age of sixteen, building single houses and developments in Exton, Valley Forge and Westtown. At 19, when his moonlighting jobs increased, he went out on his own. Originally called Robert W. Meanix Jr. Carpenter Contractor, Bob did small jobs and even an addition for one of his old bosses. Later as the size of his projects grew, he changed the name to Meanix Construction Company. Currently, the emphasis is on residential additions and remodeling. In the past, Meanix Construction has done a lot of framing and trimming for other builders as well as building custom homes on our lots and its client’s building lots.
During the 1990’s, Meanix Construction Company had its own Home Improvement show on the local cable access station “HOMEWORK with Bob Meanix” it ran for several years. The shows would be created from actual jobs. One winter the company made wooden toys in the shop for Christmas gifts. Some of Bob's children had cameos on the show. Although it has been a while since the show aired, many people still remember it.
Bob was a founding charter member of the local Delchester NARI chapter (National Association of the Remodeling Industry), and has earned the Certified Remodeler (CR) designation. The EPA has recently passed new requirements to deal with lead in homes built before 1978. Bob has been certified as a qualified Renovation, Repair and Painting Contractor, Certification # R-I-18506-10-07918
